We remember Stevie as a kind and warm-hearted person. He was always upbeat and mild--mannered. He had a great sense of humor and a positive attitude toward everyone. Our condolences to his children; Yasmeen, Steven Jr and Isaiah. Condolences are also expressed to his siblings; Keith, Robin and Earlynn, as well as to his partner Crystal. Stevie will be sorely missed.
Cousins; Cora Motley, Jessie Roane and George Gatling.

Steve and I are friends. The kind of friend that gets up at 3 a.m. to spend the day waiting for the other guy during same-day surgery. The friends who give the other one a ride to the airport. A friendship that trusts the other with our house keys in case of getting locked out. Maybe it's because we grew up in the same city and then happened to be neighbors. Over the last few years Steve and I asked for lots of help, favors from each other. We never said to the other 'You owe me one." Friends don't keep score. Having my friend called home when it seems he had so much yet to do here, I don't understand. Maybe God needed another good man. Well, HE got one. Rest in Peace, my friend.
