Please share a memory of Carolyn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Mary Carolyn Leonita Green was born in Milford, Delaware to the late Mary K. Green and Leon Coverdale, on September 30th, 1947. Carolyn was known to her family and friends as "bunny." Bunny was raised by her grandparents, Clifton, and Ethel Green. When her grandmother passed, Bunny moved to Philadelphia with her parents, Mary, and Kinsey Brown. She continued her education in the Philadelphia School System. Bunny met, fell in love, and married Oswell R. McGhee Sr. Together they had 4 children, Junie, Tony, Bryan, and Nikki. "2719 Sydenham St" was their family home which was the staple of their childhood. The foundation of the family started there. Her children were taught to be honest, dependable, responsible, thoughtful, and respectful to everyone. Bunny truly loved the Lord. She was an active member at King Solomon Baptist Church. During that time, she worked with the youth as the children's choir director of, "The Cooper Specials". She would create fun moments to last a lifetime, The Old Ship of Zion, The Tom Thumb Wedding, and Pantry Party. To make her light shine more she attended Manna Bible Institute. Later in life, Bunny remarried to Van Williams. She retired early while working in the nursing field to take care of her late husband whose health started to decline. Bunny loved gospel music and listened to KYW newsradio 1060. She enjoyed traveling with her family and was there for anyone at any time they needed her. Carolyn departed this life on earth, March 2, 2024. Proceeded in Death by her mom (Mary K.
