Obituary of Linda Vaughn

Linda Vaughn was born May 13, 1939 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late James and Naomi King. She departed this life on January 4, 2024. Linda was educated in the Philadelphia Public School System. In January 1957, she graduated from Dobbins Technical High School. On October 6, 1967, Linda united in Holy Matrimony to Frederick Vaughn. Together they raised four children. She worked various jobs. Her last employer was Prudential in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania. Linda was a member of Second Macedonia Baptist Church, serving on the Ladies Auxiliary as secretary and usher. She was a volunteer at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church assisting with various afterschool program activities. Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and loyal friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family, providing sound guidance to her children, cooking delicious meals, and having lively discussions with friends. Linda was funny, loved music, and dancing. Linda leaves to cherish her memory: one son, Frederick L. Vaughn Sr. (Diane); two daughters, Cherise Small and Regina Vaughn; grandchildren, Khalil, Nicole, Frederick Jr., Tyra, LaToya, Chante, and James; great-grandchildren, Emir, Mehki, Ernest III, Frederick III, Kimora, Kamiya, Ryan, Romello, Rylei, and Jahmyyllah, best friends, Catherine Reed and Nettie Vaughn; and a host of many other loving relatives and friends.
