Obituary: Ruth Ann Rhodes was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on November 9, 1944 to the late Adele Virginia Harris and Charles Lee Williams, Sr. Ruth Ann graduated from William Penn High School for Girls in Philadelphia. Ruth Ann was baptized at an early age at St. Paul Baptist Church. Ruth Ann was the fourth child out of ten born to Adele and Charles. Ruth Ann was employed and Western Union then proceeded to work for the State of Pennsylvania at the department of Public Assistance starting as a typist and progressed to become an income maintenance case worker for a number of years. Ruth Ann was married to Alfred Rhodes and mother to two children, Taaz and Alphonse. Ruth Ann enjoyed dancing, music, playing cards and spending time with her family. Resting with her now in heaven are her mother Adele, Father Charles Lee Williams Sr., Brothers Charles Williams, Sylvester Williams and Sister Florence Williams. She leaves on this side of heaven her siblings, Bonita Mullins, Charlotte Williams, Constance Williams, Lorraine Paul, Bruce Williams and Richard Williams. In addition to with great pride and joy for her grandson Alphonse (AJ) Rhodes, jr. and her gorgeous great granddaughter Trinity Rhodes. Along with a host of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews she adored.
