Obituary of Nathan Moody

Please share a memory of Nathan to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Nathan Moody was born to the late Thomas Moody Sr., and Mary Jane Crawford Moody on June 17, 1969 in Philadelphia, PA. Nathan was educated in the Philadelphia Public School system, where he graduated and received his diploma from Kensington High School. After graduating Nate as he was affectionately known entered the workforce for a short period, and later enlisted in the Army where he served his country for more than eight years. During that time Nate obtained the rank of Sergeant. Nathan was proud of his military service and served with dignity, honor, and respect. As such, he received an Honorable Discharge in recognition for his military service. He was a real go getter. Now anyone who knew him, knew that he was a jokester. If your wig was crooked Nate would let you know in his own funny way. If you needed to lose a few pounds, well…, Nate would probably let you know about that too. He would often tease his older brothers and sisters in many similar ways. If you were around Nate, you had better be ready to laugh. He really had a sense of humor. However, if Nate were here, he would tell you that his most noteworthy achievement in this life, and his greatest joy was the love he had for his children. They will never know the many occasions he expressed his love through tears. He was a loving father, a wonderful brother, the best of friends, family man, and a beautiful person. Nathan leaves to cherish his memory: His devoted Fiancé Theresa Baylock, of whom it is said, he was planning to marry; three children Alexis C. Cooper, Jonathan Cooper (AKA "Nate DaGreat"), and Akilah Baylock-Moody, also, two step-daughters Nautica and Destiny, one sister Gloria Taylor (Wayne), four bothers Leroy (Angelia), Hayver, Edward, and Clarence; ten grandkids, one great aunt (Rachel); eight aunts, two uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, many of whom were more like brothers.
